MELBOURNE, Australia — SOFAR introduced its PowerIn commercial and industrial (C&I) solar and energy storage solution at All Energy Australia, held on 28–29 October 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The launch paired the CBS9000-193-257KWH battery cabinet series with HYD-99-166K-T1 hybrid inverters.

Under the theme “Proven in Homes. Built for Business.”, SOFAR used the exhibition to present its expansion from an established Australian residential business into C&I applications. PowerIn was the centrepiece of this direction, bringing solar generation and battery storage together for business energy requirements.

The CBS9000 series offers 193, 225 and 257 kWh cabinet configurations, paired with a hybrid inverter range spanning 99–166 kW. The solution supports up to four battery cabinets in parallel, allowing storage capacity to be configured around project requirements. This gives installers and project partners options when matching battery capacity with inverter power.

Factory pre-installation is intended to simplify on-site assembly. For businesses adding storage to existing solar assets, AC coupling supports integration with third-party PV inverters. An integrated diesel generator connection port provides another configuration option. These features address project integration as well as the installation process.

The battery cabinets also incorporate active balancing and multiple layers of protection, including smoke, temperature and combustible-gas detection. IP55 protection supports outdoor placement. Together, these features address C&I system requirements, extending the scope of SOFAR's portfolio beyond the residential products also represented at the stand.

The 28 October PowerIn launch included a product video and a C&I presentation by Freddy Chen, Technical Service Manager. The session introduced the new system to visitors, complementing the physical product display at SOFAR's stand.

The launch followed the 23 October opening of SOFAR's new Australian headquarters in Sydney. It combines office space, a product experience centre and a laboratory ready for product testing and practical training in installation and electrical connection, providing a local base for continuing technical engagement.
